I was honored to be a part of a 1st ever event of its kind last weekend in Denver Colorado. Karen Huss 100K Super Star was joined by Beverly Hollister, Jessica Barratt, Misha Huges, Dr. Templeman (All from XANGO) along with members of the E.W.G.

It was an eye opening event. After hearing and seeing the toxic dump America has become thanks to the unregulated personal care industry, it made me angry. I am now more thankful then ever for JUNI (from XANGO) and for the E.W.G and others that are fighting for better rights for consumers. Don't forget to check out the story of stuff link on this site.

The unregulated personal care industry (which is all of them) is where the tobacco industry was in the 1980's. Check out some scary ads promoting the use of tobacco and how glamorous it was.

"Nitty Gritty Reasons" Jim Rohn

Wouldn't it be wonderful to be motivated to achievement by such a lofty goal as benevolence? I must confess, however, that in the early years of my struggle to succeed, my motivation was a lot more down-to-earth. My reason for succeeding was more basic. In fact, it fell into the category of what I like to call "nitty-gritty reasons." A nitty-gritty reason is the kind that any one of us can have—at any time, on any day—and it can cause our lives to change. Let me tell you what happened to me.

Shortly before I met Mr. Shoaff, I was lounging at home one day when I heard a knock at the door. It was a timid, hesitant knock. When I opened the door I looked down to see a pair of big brown eyes staring up at me. There stood a frail little girl of about 10. She told me, with all the courage and determination her little heart could muster, that she was selling Girl Scout cookies. It was a masterful presentation—several flavors, a special deal, and only two dollars per box. How could anyone refuse? Finally, with a big smile and ever-so politely, she asked me to buy. And I wanted to. Oh, how I wanted to!

Except for one thing. I didn't have two dollars! Boy, was I embarrassed! Here I was—a father, had been to college, was gainfully employed—and yet I didn't have two dollars to my name.

Naturally, I couldn't tell this to the little girl with the big brown eyes. So I did the next best thing. I lied to her. I said, "Thanks, but I've already bought Girl Scout cookies this year. And I've still got plenty stacked in the house."

Now that simply wasn't true. But it was the only thing I could think of to get me off the hook. And it did. The little girl said, "That's OK, sir. Thank you very much." And with that she turned around and went on her way.

I stared after her for what seemed like a very long time. Finally, I closed the door behind me and, leaning my back to it, cried out, "I don't want to live like this anymore. I've had it with being broke, and I've had it with lying. I'll never be embarrassed again by not having any money in my pocket." That day I promised myself to earn enough to always have several hundred dollars in my pocket at all times.

This is what I mean by a nitty-gritty reason. It may not win me any prize for greatness, but it was enough to have a permanent affect on the rest of my life.

My Girl-Scout-cookie story does have a happy ending. Several years later, as I was walking out of my bank where I had just made a hefty deposit and was crossing the street to get into my car, I saw two little girls who were selling candy for some girls' organization. One of them approached me, saying, "Mister, would you like to buy some candy?"

"I probably would," I said playfully. "What kind of candy do you have?"

"It's almond roca."

"Almond roca. That's my favorite. How much is it?"

"It's only two dollars."

Two dollars. It couldn't be! I was excited. "How many boxes of candy have you got?"

"I've got five."

Looking at her friend, I said, "And how many boxes do you have left?"

"I've got four."

"That's nine. Okay, I'll take them all."

At this, both girls' mouths fell open as they exclaimed in unison, "Really?"

"Sure," I said. "I've got some friends that I'll pass some around to."

Excitedly, they scurried to stack all the boxes together. I reached into my pocket and gave them 18 dollars. As I was about to leave, the boxes tucked under my arm, one of the girls looked up and said, "Mister, you're really something!" How about that! Can you imagine spending only 18 dollars and having someone look you in the face and say, "You're really something"?

Now you know why I always carry a few hundred dollars on me. I'm not about to miss chances like that ever again.

And to think it all resulted from my own embarrassment, that when properly channeled, acted as a powerful motivator to help me achieve.

How about you? What nitty-gritty reasons do you have waiting to challenge and provoke you into change for the better? Look for them, they are there. Sometimes it can be as simple as a brown-eyed girl selling Girl Scout cookies.

John and his group have seen double digit growth by prospecting with The New Frontier (the newest 'LIFE as it COULD be' video.)

Why is this working?

1-Most approaches bring up too many questions. After watching The New Frontier, the only question left is 'How do I get started?'

2-Sending out this video is a simple way of duplication

3-Even if it's not the right time for your prospect to get involved, their comments on this video will often be like this: 'Best video I have seen in 20 years of network marketing."

4-John's team works with the belief that you have to talk to enough people and send out enough videos to make the 'LIFE as it COULD be' system work the best. "It's all about finding people at the right time. If people are watching the video, your business will grow."

5-John's team have become masters at proper follow up. What does that mean? Follow up within 24 hours. Ask if they received the email and link to the video. You need to be proactive. Don't wait for the prospect to be proactive.

6-John will often send a video link from inside LIFE, and immediately follow it up with an email from his personal email account. This second email lets the prospect know that a video link was just sent and they need to look for it. This seems like overlap... and it kind of is, but it works.

7-Always work on building a relationship with the prospect. They need to know you care. The stronger the relationship that you've built, the more likely a prospect is to watch the video you send them. When they watch the video, it will sell the business. You build relationships. The video does the rest.

HOW TO SELL LIKE JOHN LENNON

John sells exclusively on a single street called South Pointe Drive, located in an exclusive area called SoFi (South of Fifth). His sales territory consists of six über-luxury high-rises along the cruise ship waterway and Miami Beach front. In the past 15 years, John has sold more than $3 billion in real estate on this street (do the math on 3 percent commission—that’s almost as much as the other John Lennon made!).

John took Georgia and me to lunch a couple days ago to give us an update on our property and the market. I took the opportunity to try and pry out the secret to his extraordinary success.
I found it! And now I will pass it along to you too…

I asked, “John, there are hundreds of agents who (attempt to) sell in this market, how do you sell 100-times more than most everyone else?” John explained, “When I started out I was in an office of four other agents. We all took turns handling incoming foot traffic . We all had the same number of prospects to work with. Each of them would close a deal once every three to four months; I was closing 31 per month. The difference was I wasn’t selling what they were selling. Sure, the same building and same apartment units, but I was selling something different for every different person.

“One time, the building developer called me to ask what I had sold that day. I said, ‘I sold a $4 million parking space, a $2.8 million gym and spa access pass and a $6 million closet. And each came with an apartment included. The developer was perplexed, ‘What do you mean you sold a $4 million parking space?’ I explained that I had discovered that WAS what was most important to that person. He had vintage cars and had a bad experience in a previous building. I spent an hour explaining the security, safety and cleanliness of our underground parking and he couldn’t write the check fast enough.”

John went on to explain to me, “Most salespeople try to sell everything to every person every time. Huge mistake. A realtor will show all the units available in someone’s price range pointing out all the features and everything they like about each place. Even if a client points out something they like, they continue on showing more units (selling), ‘Oh, you also need to see this unit, the view is spectacular.’ All the options create a blur of complexity extinguishing their desire to make a decision and buy. All the while it was simply the parking space they would have been most interested in anyway.

“I don’t sell at all (of sorts); I ask questions, listen and observe. I find out what’s really most important to them and focus my education on those features. That way they discover what they were really looking for… and they buy it.”

How you too can sell like John Lennon :

1. See everyone as unique. What you assume people are most interested in is mostly incorrect. Start with that assumption.

2. Ask questions. You’ve heard this a hundred times, but you are still making more statements than you are asking questions. Stop it.

3. Watch and listen. If/when you finally do ask questions, listen closely and continue to probe until you discover their real hearts’ desires.

4. Restrain yourself. This is the hardest step—to stop selling. Insecure sellers make a sale and then ‘buy it back’ because they keep talking, showing presenting or selling. Once you discover their core motivation, connect it with your solution then stop and ask them to buy.

5. Serve, don’t sell. There are countless times when John was servicing my unit, performing functions well below his pay grade. The result? Well, I am writing about him now. No wonder he doesn’t have to sell! There is a clue in that.

And lastly, as the other John Lennon would say, “Only people just know how to talk to people. Only people know just how to change the world. Only people realize the power of people. A million heads are better than one, so come on, get it on!”

Your Links Will Never Go To Spam Again...

Ok... So if you are like I am and wonder if people ever get your emails that contain links, such as your "Life As It Could Be" videos you send to prospects, here's help. Of course we all want to track the videos we email to our prospects and so we create the links by sending them from our "LAICB" back office. Here is a long cut, but effective 99.9% of the time.

1st: Go to http://www.bit.ly and set up a FREE account.

2nd: When you want to create a link to send to a prospect through your "LAICB" back office do it this way. No need for a subject line or message, just enter the persons name (also put a phone number in that same space, easier for following up). Then in the email put your email and send it to yourself. Go to your in box click the link and then in the address bar copy or cut the link then go to your bit.ly account. Here you can paste the link and make a shorter link and even customize it if you wish (you will see how once your there). Now take that new short link and copy it and paste it into and email and send it off to your prospect. It will never go to spam.

Keep in mind that the 1st notification you get that the person went to your site was actually you clicking the original long link. So the next notification will be them. You can shorten any link you want and get the same result (NO SPAM or JUNK BLOCKING).

This is simple don't think this is hard. Just an extra step, but worth it. Takes about 2 mins once you got it down like I do.

16. Is it better to lead with the product or the opportunity?
Both work. Faster builders lead with the opportunity. 'Freedom' is our business, not the products. The products are the tools.

17. What type of people do you look for?DO NOT look for sick people!! Look for entrepreneurs, insurance people, sales & marketing, etc. People who want to build a business.

18. What do you say to someone who just doesn't get it?Nothing. If they don't get it, they don't get it. Move on. If you think they are a quality contact and the timing is off then start dripping.

19. I don't like to sell.Good! Neither do I. If I had to sell juice or something I'd be out of here. If you must insist I sell something I'm selling freedom and spending more time with my family.

20. How much money are you making?Don't say, "None of your business" or "I'm not allowed to say", or "I'm not doing too good yet." Say, "It's doing great! It took me awhile to get familiar with the verbiage. The new videos that have come out are really powerful. This is good stuff!"

21. I'm tired of all they money talk. Isn't enough enough. Their isn't enough money if you use it right. If you are about service, charity and so forth, those things take a lot of money. We are in the position to look at the "bigger" picture.

22. What message do you leave on answering machines?Just leave your name and number. Say it's important and keep it short.

23. What message do you leave when someone says they'll look at something, yet they don't call you back?Restate the situation, re-edify the video. Get back into the script. Do that 3 times, then start dripping. At the end of 3 times... "This must not be a good time for you right now. I hope it's all right if I get back to you in a couple months." David has the most success on the follow ups. It's all about timing.

24. Is it true that companies go into their 2nd wave in the 5th-7th year?Most companies don't even see a first wave. XanGo is one of the few exceptions. XanGo is already in the 2nd wave. We just entered that wave 2 months ago. We know how to reinvent our momentum.

25. Do you support outside motivational speakers and seminars?Not too much. We already have the best!! Be careful of costs and fees. Don't become a professional listener. We're professional business builders.

26. How do you feel about open meetings and tools? Generally, I'm extremely open about this. Be careful about things that aren't mainstream... streamlining, Telos, the Mexican 1-up, etc.

27. How much should I know about the products and pay plan? Do I need to be an expert?Out of the gate, you don't need to be an expert. Down the road it's important. The more you know, the better you'll become. Knowledge is power!

28. What if I can't get my spouse's support?Share stories about great things accomplished by the world's dreamers. Share your dreams. Here's the key: Show your commitment with your work and passion. On & Off , Hot & Cold doesn't earn or deserve their support.

29. What are the 3 biggest success attributes?1. Learning to say it right 2. Say it often 3. Think big .

30. What are the 3 biggest obstacles to success?1. Fear 2. Wasting time with the wrong people 3. Putting XanGo last.

15 Things you may hear

1-Is this a Pyramid? The pyramid mentality is a sign of your age. Real pyramid schemes are illegal. This business is highly regulated. There are many successful MLMs such as Avon and Mary Kay.

2-Do people at the top make all the money? It’s important to remember that we can all “create” our own top. The top 10 earners with XanGo are level 3 and down. XanGo’s biggest earner is on level 13.

3-I don’t have time right now. This is most likely an excuse. Don’t be offended. Sometimes prospects are just asking for more information. Sometimes they really are too busy and the timing is wrong. In that case, start “dripping”! Keep their name on file. Ask them if you can give them a call back in 2-3 months.

4-I need to pray about it. Tell them you already have and the answer is “yes”!

5-If you’re new to XanGo and not connected how would you start? MDC’s, get a ‘LIFE as it COULD be’ site, friends, family, get referrals from everybody, collect business cards, browse businesses and use the Million Dollar Approach Line from the Sponsoring Sequence (found in the ‘LIFE as it COULD be’ back office).

6-How do you structure your down line? Start off with 3-wide, then add 4, 5 & 6 (of distributors who are really in the trenches). Get first 3 lines to 5-20K before adding new lines. PAY PLAN: Keep sponsorship, (you can help others with volume but keep sponsorship. You can always give away sponsorships later when your distributors really prove themselves.) Don’t streamline, don’t sign separate agreements, don’t pass people up, don’t collect money from people, and don’t believe that others ‘methods’ are making people grow faster.

7-What is your opinion of Telos or the Mexican 1-up? DON’T DO IT!

8-Why the Teeter Totter Calls? They inform people on other industries. Then people can be prepared to “drip”. It’s not to trash other companies.

There are many reasons why a proper 3-way call will help your prospect. Here are some reasons, and some tips to help you do it right:

Third Party Validation - Oftentimes, our prospects will believe someone else more than they will believe us.

Removes Fear - A great 3-way call shows the prospect that they will have a support system to help them build their own XanGo business

Background - Get plenty of background on your prospect, in advance, and share this with the up line that will be helping you on the call. This will allow your up line to prepare and say the right things.

Good Listener - If you are running the 3-way call, then be a good listener. Ask questions. Keep it casual. Don't ask too many questions so that the prospect feels like you are grilling them.

Build the Relationship - Go out of your way to make sure that the prospect knows you care. This engenders trust and unity with them and in your group. It builds a TEAM. "We can build this together."

Prospects who watch one or more 'LIFE as it COULD be' video will be much more likely to be receptive. Linda was a loving inspiration to everyone who came in contact with her. Even as a patient, she made new friends and kept her sense of gratitude and humor. She and Mike trusted and respected the team of medical professionals dedicated to her care.

Linda so impacted the heart of her doctor and his team at the University of Colorado Hospital that Dr. Rosen, her specialist, supports establishing an endowment fund in her name at the CU Foundation benefitting the CU School of Medicine for research in liver disease.

In honoring Linda's memory, the hope is to have the fund grow to a level that will be used to underwrite a full fellowship so that Hepatology Fellows could stay on for an additional year and focus on research into liver disease.

We know Linda would be grateful that others may benefit by this life saving research.

A Legend, A Friend, A Loss To All

I come to you in this letter with a soft heart and tear filled eyes. Last night (March 10th) @ about 11 PM EST our friend & XANGO 500K Premier Linda McCarthy passed away. Linda had battled a particular challenge most of her adult life. She now needs to suffer no more.

We had the pleasure of knowing Linda for over 10 years and shared many good time together at her home and at events around the globe. She will be missed, but her legacy will carry on through each of us.

Our webinar on Wednesday night was a classic! 500K David & Susie Butler exchanged experiences and successes with 100K John Zenes. John and the Butlers have been on fire lately, so their comments were cutting edge stuff. Here is a top 10 list from their suggestions:

1-When you are prospecting, you don't need to talk so much
2-You don't need to know it all
3-Make an invitation, not a presentation. Let a 'LIFE as it COULD be' video do the presentation for you.
4-Ask questions of your prospect so you'll get to know them, build rapport, and to qualify them
5-A conversation with your prospect should be about them... not about you
6-Ask for the prospect's permission, in advance, to follow up
7-If you can, tie the follow up to a 3-way
8-Don't say the 3-way will be with a 'business partner'. A better thing to say is that you would like them to talk with a 'friend of mine who has been very successful. I'd like to connect the two of you.'
9-Turn the attention back to your prospect. 'My friend would like to know about you.'
10-When following up on the video, ask your prospect what they liked best about what they saw. This keeps it positive and sets the right tone. It's better than asking them what they thought.

Here are a few note worthy notes from a recent Premier call we had.

A brand new functional distributor kit is on the way. The new kit will include but not limited to, Intro book, product info, new DVD, getting started section & flip chart for showing the biz in a basic way. The draft will be coming out in March and a prototype in April. So keep your eyes for this.

Also all of the info that has been going around on the Internet in regards to a bill trying to be passed by John McCain in regards to dietary supplements is NOT accurate. There are powers much higher then us that are well aware of the truth and its nothing we need to be focused on.

In order to hit a home run in building your business you must get up to bat. Your Best and
Brightest must accept your invitation to learn about what it is that you are doing – the business
project you are working on.

The following information comes from Justin Prince; what he learned and mastered from his mentor who was one of the top 3 networking icons in our industry: Bob Schmidt. Justin struggled for a long time until he learned and implemented the following 4 key phrases into his invitation. Four legitimate reasons why it would be of value to your candidates to learn about the project you are working on.This coupled with Doug Wead’s invitation opener, and you’ll be hitting home runs!

Basic invitation opener: “Under ordinary circumstances I wouldn’t even bring this to you but it
just so happens that...” now insert the edification of the person you are promoting them to meet.
Add in the reason for them to hear about the project you are working on and close by asking for the appointment.

The 4 Reasons to accept your invitation:
 It alwaysmakes sense for good people tomeet.
 Good information is never a disadvantage.
 All good business is referral business and I anticipate referrals from you.
 If anything should ever change for you, I’d like to be the first person you call.

Choose only one to be part of your invitation, use the remaining three “reasons” to respond to an objection from your candidate. If need be you may also draw from these reasons:

 It’s not important that you join. It’s not important that you buy.What is important is that
you listen.
 You owe it to yourself and your family to be crystal clear on what you are saying no to.
 Thismay be of interest to you and itmay not, and either way is fine.

Example: “Under ordinary circumstances I wouldn’t even bring this to you but it just so
happens that I’m working with a man who has built a multi-million dollar international
business fromthe comfort of his home; creating a very nice 6 figure income in the process. For
whatever reason he really likesme and he’s offered to teachmyself and 5 ofmy closest friends to do what he has done.Now, this may or may not be of interest to you and either way is fine but I’d like to introduce you to him, and have him give you an overview of what it is we’re doing. Besides I’m sure you’d agreewithme that good information is never a disadvantage.What’s your schedule like this week? I need 20-30minutes on the phone.”

Memorize, mix and match these key phrases and then... practice, practice, practice until they
become second nature to you; a part of you. Just like “You’re Welcome” is to you when someone says “Thank You.”

Always strategize with your Support Team as to which would be the best person to promote to your candidate. Remember: We promote people. You will develop the nuances and the finesse of this targeted invitation as you practice with your Support Team Mentor and begin the invitation process itself. Like everything we do the more we practice something the better we get.

Choose your Best and Brightest to invite to join you in your business - people who are ambitious, reliable, coachable, and successful; people with great people skills. People you would bet $10,000 of your own money on to be very successful should they see what you see. You don’t need hundreds - just a few wisely chosen individuals to create a legacy.

Commentary by Dr. Brent Bauer, M.D.: “So, one of the things that's very popular right now
are these super juices. A lot of people are talking about acai berry, goji berry, but the one
we've chosen to study is something called mangosteen. The leading manufacturer is a
company called XanGo, and we've worked with them to evaluate their product, which is a
mangosteen juice. It includes not only the fruit but also the rind of the fruit. And it's that rind
that contains some unique anti-inflammatory agents called xanthones.”

“Well in many animal studies and in some anecdotal human experiences we've seen pretty
remarkable anti-inflammatory effects. So we're actually conducting a large trial of about 220
patients, all of whom have atrial fibrillation and as they go to cardioversion, where they get a
shock to the heart to restore normal rhythm, those people are then going to either drink the
juice or a placebo juice and the idea being that recurrent atrial fibrillation is often driven by
how much inflammation is in the body.”

“So if mangosteen does what we think it will, reduces the inflammation, we anticipate we'll
see less atrial fibrillation recurring in those patients drinking the actual juice. We're also
looking at a number of markers for inflammation and antioxidant capabilities, so there's a lot
of interest, because if it's positive, this'll really be the first clinical trial to validate the use of
this novel juice and there's plenty of other applications that we'll pursue in other research
studies.”

"THE PROMISE"

Mark Yarnell, minister in a small town in Texas , was headed for bankruptcy and just about to lose his car and home. He looked for a way out and discovered network marketing. Luckily, he had a wise sponsor.

The sponsor gave Mark "THE PROMISE". "This business can set you free financially in one to three years." But he also gave him "THE PRICE" to succeed. You will have to face and conquer 4 major enemies."

Mark said, "It's a deal."

Mark began by inviting 200 friends over to his house to watch a video. 80 said "No, not interested"

- Mark had encountered ENEMY #1: Rejection.

He thought, "No problem. My sponsor warned me about that. I've got 120 people still coming over." Guess what?

- He had just encountered ENEMY #2: Deception.

Mark thought, "No problem. My sponsor warned me about that. I've got 70 people who watched the tape." Guess what? 57 said "Not Interested".

- He had just encountered ENEMY #3: Apathy.

Undaunted, Mark thought, "No problem. 13 people signed up." Guess what? 12 of them dropped out of the business shortly thereafter.

- He had just encountered ENEMY #4: Attrition.

Attrition had left Mark with just one serious associate. But to this day, that single distributor earns Mark over $50,000 per month.

Mark Yarnell's story is NOT Unique!

You may have heard of Bill Britt, one of the most successful distributors in Amway. Some years ago, 20/20 did a feature story on Amway. They spent 19 minutes interviewing whiners and complainers - several distributors who had failed and showed the garages full of products they couldn't sell. During the last minute of the show, Mr. Britt was interviewed in front of his palatial home. He was asked, "Mr. Britt, this business has obviously worked for you. What's your secret?"

He replied, "There is no secret. I simply showed the plan to 1200 people. 900 said, 'No' and only 300 signed up. Out of those 300, only 85 did anything at all. Out of those 85 only 35 were serious, and out of those 35, 11 made me a millionaire." Like Mark Yarnell, Bill worked through the numbers.

Jason Boreyko, former co-founder of New Vision, told this story recently. When he was a distributor in Matol, he signed up 50 people. He heard a lot of "No's" on the way to those 50. Jason took one man, who he knew would be terrific in the business to lunch, told him about the business and the man said "No." Jason took the man to lunch again the next month and told him the updates. Once again the man said, "No." Jason sent him some more information and took him to lunch again the next month. And again the man said, "No." That went on for six months. The seventh month, something had changed for the man, and he said, "Yes." That man made Jason over one million dollars. Jason also worked through his numbers.

According to Richard Poe in Wave Three while starting Amway, Rich DeVos and Jay Van Andel, America 's eleventh richest people, recruited 500 people. 495 dropped out. The five that didn't quit built Amway. All $7 billion of Amway's business was built under those 5 people. Jay and Rich had to work through their numbers. There are many similar stories. Jeff, the top money earner in Mannatech, signed up 27 people his first month.

One might think that he is especially talented at sponsoring. Actually, Jeff will be the first to tell you that he is not talented at all.

In fact, he feels that he did very poorly. To recruit those 27, Jeff talked to 2000 people that first month. And of the 27, the only one who did anything significant with the business was Ray Gebauer, who has more than half of Mannatech in his downline.

Jeff's word to you is that the numbers never lie. Pick your goal and then get into massive action. If you talk to enough people, you will make it!

Here's the lesson: Your success is directly related to the degree to which you are willing to work to find others like yourself who are committed to succeed. Mark Yarnell's odds were 1 out of 50. (Jeff's were really 1 out of 2000.) Would you be willing to go through 200 people to find the 1 who will make you $50,000 a month? Or go through 200 people to become a millionaire? Or hear uncounted "No's" to sign up 50 people to find a million dollar person? I hope you will. It's easier when you know the odds up front.

But here's the catch: You have your own set of odds and you won't know what they are until AFTER YOU'VE SUCCEEDED. So if you've gone through 50 or 100 people and you haven't found 1 serious person yet, you can either give up and assume the business doesn't work or recognize that you are working through your own numbers.

Are you willing to find out what your own set of odds is?

That means that you must pay the price for freedom. Remember that the numbers never fail you. Despite where you are in your skill level, your success is assured if you talk to enough people. And as your skill improves, so will your odds.

There is no such thing as luck in this industry. Winning big is a matter of being willing to pay the price.

Are you?

Your future is in your hands!

The choices which you make today will determine the course of your entire future.

My question to you is are you willing to do the numbers to find the few that will make you rich and change your life forever? This is what you have to ask yourself every morning when you wake up.

May you have a Successful Future in all aspects of Your Life.

I did a call last week and talked about going 1K or 1K again & again. Most of us me included went 1K the 1st time without trying. We mostly did it without tools or the websites that we now have available to us. We did it with entusiasm and 3 way calls.

So what if every 90 days you hit 1K again yourself and duplicated that for 12 months. I don't even know how to figure out the #'s on volume, income or active reps on your TEAM. But I can tell you that it would keep you up at night because of the pure Xcitment. So here's the challenge....

Lets do it together, go 1k over, and over again... We will do it by doing more 3 way introductions, follow ups and welcome calls then ever before. And as a TEAM not as any one individual will we see the rewards. So take the next 2 weeks to enjoy family, friends and planting seeds for TWENTY10 and lets all commit to 1K again & again starting Jan 1st.

TEAM we are talking about 3 new personal people every 90 days and under those 3 creating only $1,000 in volume. I saw 6 men of honor, our XANGO Founders. Men that have never set a clearer path and brighter future then they have over the last year. OK... Yes it's true XANGO is now more then just a juice company. To be honest I never looked at XANGO as just a juice company. I can tell 100% without a doubt because of staying connected is what has helped lead me to my success. I remember the very 1st XANGO event I ever went to. (Besides from flying into Utah 6 years ago to meet the Founders). It was cold winter night in North East Pennsylvania. The drive was to be just over 3 hours from my home to Philadelphia, PA. The speaker was a man named "Sherman Unkefer". I heard he had been a huge success in the past in network marketing and I wanted to hear how he did it. The 3 hour trip took more then 5 hours to get there ( I did leave early, I always do). The storm was a complete white out. The crowd due to the weather was sparse to say the least. I recall that there was 5 people besides from Sherman in the crowd. The energy was like a 1,000 because Sherman spoke with power and conviction in his voice about XANGO and network marketing. My journey home that night was even longer, over 7 hours. And worth every second of it!

That 1 single event was the start of a series of events that has kept me totally focused on my business for over 6 years. Does everything always go right? Of course not, it never will. But because of these events I get the strength, encouragement and knowledge I need to move forward. It is the power of a weekly event no matter how big or small that keeps others moving in the right direction.

The simple answer "Follow up and follow through". We are seeing massive growth from those all over the country that are following these basic principals. If your not getting your brand new prospects, customers and TEAM members on the phone right away with someone else, your not helping them or yourself.

It's that out of town expert that will be the biggest help to you and to your prospects. You then in return will be the out of town expert to their new prospects. But if you don't do it they will not do it, which creates 0% duplication... Do you see how you hurt yourself and new people by NOT doing this simple task?

We have been getting some very interesting feedback from our Team on X51 that I thought was worth sharing with you.

There are a few people that try X51 for a week or two who don't report a major change in the way they feel. However, we are finding that if you talk to the spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend of the person using X51, they will report that they have observed a VERY significant difference in the way the person is behaving (easier to get along with, more easy going, more fun, less stressed, waking up easier, etc.).

For twenty-one years I have been a student and writer of American history. It is how I have made my living. It is what has consumed my time. But in between this Spartan business of researching and writing about people who are long dead and events that are mostly forgotten, I have had to do other things to make a living.
Since 1974 I have also written and studied network marketing. For four years, I actually built my own Amway business, reaching the diamond level. And for many years thereafter I have traveled the world, learning from networking leaders and sharing that knowledge with audiences at their great conventions.
By 1979 my philanthropic work, starting the charity awards, and my political work for the Reagans and Bushes, began dominating my calendar. But I had never forgotten the idea of a residual, ongoing income for retirement and how it might possibly fund my dreams of even more reading and writing of history.
The owners of five of the enterprises called or met with me personally, extolling the virtues of their companies.
But I chose my steps carefully.
I was looking for a business that would be the easiest, for the average person, to make the most money with the least amount of time. I had learned well the lesson, that if an opportunity doesn't work for the average person, like myself, it will eventually stop working for the exceptional person.
The first thing was a fair plan. A binary was out. They were devastating to the average person. I struggled with that. One of my best friends was in a binary. But I did not want in a business that hurt masses of people and left them feeling guilty about their failure, even when it was the expectation, indeed - even a necessity for the company's survival - that they fail.
But I was also warned not to get into a business that front loaded the payout. One very chastised and humble networking leader told me that his company was failing because they had moved the bonuses all to the front. His people could easily make $500 a month, he said sadly, but they could only double that with great difficulty. As one of my friends commented last night, a networking business needs a vast middle class, like the United States, with many who quickly earn enough to justify doing it fulltime, a strong base from which to launch higher. Again and again I was told of the one company that had the perfect plan. And twice this information came to me from the mouths of the very owners of the other companies, men and women who were trying to get me to join their enterprise. Twice I was told that they had copied this plan.
And secondly, the company had to have a product with a compelling reason for people to buy. There are several companies with good products that make it easy to build a network. Distributors who get into those companies are astonished at the amount of money they can make in a short period of time without breaking a sweat. "Yes, but how much do you make off the product?" Someone will invariably ask. "This IS off of the product," comes back the answer.
Well, it so happens that my wife, Myriam, used the product of this particular company, insisting that it was making a difference for our youngest daughter.
"It's a placebo," I said, chuckling at her naiveté. No one wants their wife looking the fool.
"Well, so what?" she would glower back, "It works."
And then one night after an hour on the internet I told her that she could get the same benefits from buying pomegranate juice at the grocery store and save us some inconvenience and money to boot.
Well, my wife did just that. We bought juices at the grocery store. But within weeks all the symptoms came back.
"Look," she said. "Our daughter has been to doctors in Arizona, Texas, Virginia and Maryland. We have driven her to holistic clinics in Pennsylvania, arriving home exhausted at midnight. She has had MRI's and CAT scans and more blood tests than we can count. She has taken endless bottles of medicines or vitamins and mineral combinations or nothing at all. In ten years this is the first thing that has given her any relief."
"Okay," I pouted, "Back on the placebo."
When you combine a fair marketing plan with a compelling product narrative it does not take long to build a network. And you can stand in front of people and look them in the eyes and know that you are sharing an idea that can be replicated.
The process of networking has long left a distasteful feeling in my mouth. I am too private a person. And there can be no recruitment without rejection. A part of me would rather live with less money, on a college campus, reading and writing than taking an emotional risk. I have a low threshold of pain.
But this company soared to $500 million, even without an educational, tool based system. They did it on three things, a fair marketing plan, an easy to sell product, and credible branding. (There is a nice story in a recent issue of Nutrition Business, featuring the style of their bottle, of all things.) For me, this company takes the embarrassment out of networking.
And finally, the future of this company's founders is directly related to the success of the field. They are young and their success in life depends on the success of their distributors. This is not a cow that they milk. They aren't manipulating the numbers or starving markets of product in order to keep down costs and control growth. They want and need their company to grow and that bodes well for those of us who are taking this adventurous ride with them. If they have succeeded without systems it is not because they are afraid of them. Indeed, they have openly embraced systems that will help the field, saying to professional networkers, "come on, do your thing." They are not afraid of the prosperity of their distributors. They are counting on it.
And so I chose the Lamborghini of network marketing. Other enterprises have risen and fallen around them. Many others will do the same in the years ahead. This one proved to me that it is the easiest for the average person to make the most money with the least amount of time. It has a sure and steady trajectory. I choose XanGo.
